Dr. Karamjit Singh did research on various forms of folklore but his main identity remains as a scholar who collects folk songs. Collecting folk poetry forms or folk songs is a very difficult task but Dr. Karamjit Singh overcame many difficulties in compiling folk songs and carried out the task well.
